Stop 1: Guangzhou

When we finally landed in Guangzhou it was 2am. Then we had to try and get taxis to the hostel. Having 13 people is never a good number.
Have you seen what 5 girls look like in the back of a taxi with all their luggage piled ontop of them. It is hilarious! Furthermore at 3am when driving down deserted Chinese streets do you want to know what you see? Huge, and I mean huge rats. Gross. We finally arrive and after getting checked in I am greeted by the most beautiful sight: a full sized bed, with a memory topper, a down comforter and two amazing pillows. I wanted to cry of happiness. Really though it's inedible.
Then we set off of our adventure. First we went to this little island that was like New Orleans. The trees were incredible and covered in thick vines and moss. The buildings were architecturally beautiful and the island was just adorable!
There were gardens and statues and more!
This city is so pretty!
That is friendship garden.
After this we got on a boat and rode around the Pearl River on our way to this giant tower. Then we got on a metro that was so neat! It has a glass front so you could see all the tunnels.
We may or may not have fought some kids for our seats in the front.
Guangzhou Day 1 has been full of beauty!
